A PAIR OF 40-BORE PERCUSSION RIFLED POCKET-PISTOLS, SIGNATURE OBSCURED, no visible serial numbers,
Belgian, circa 1840, with two-stage octagonal to round turn-off twist iron barrels, moulded bands at the intersection and arabesques engraved to the flats, the top flat with traces of signature, square bodied engraved boxlock actions (possibly gilded originally) with off-set central hammers, standing notch rear-sights and concealed triggers, fluted walnut butts with carved central panels and cheeks, faceted iron pommels, cleaned with some pitting
